Here's a good opportunity to make a name for yourself and win a trip to Vienna. The Peter Drucker Society of Europe has launched the first 'Global Peter Drucker Challenge', an international essay competition for students, young managers and entrepreneurs. As you'll have guessed, the prize is named after the legendary management guru who is regarded as the grandfather of management!
What do you have to do? Write an essay on the theme of Continuity and Change - balancing innovation and time-tested practices. Just up a young management accountant's street, I think. I say 'young' because you must not be older than 35 to enter. The essay must be between 1500 and 3000 words and you can submit it in English or German. The authors of the top three essays will be flown to Vienna and invited to participate at the Global Peter Drucker Forum on 19 November 2010. The deadline for entry is 15 September 2010.
