January can be a dull month, once the stress of results day has died down. If you’re at a loose end waiting for your next college course or study programme to start, why not enter our writing competition?

We’re looking for a 1000-word review of an academic article, and the winning article will be published in Financial Management magazine. This is a great opportunity to get yourself noticed!

Full details are available at this link (you’ll need to be logged into MyCIMA), and the closing date for entries is 30 March 2012.

If this doesn’t sound like your cup of tea, then it’s back to the textbooks for you! See recent study support blogs on:

Look out for the rest of the papers over the next couple of weeks. :)

Hi,Will you please explain a little bit more about the article.like what kind of stuff required to be covered under the article.

Article

Hi Shalu

The audience is CIMA students, so if I were you I'd go for something relevant to the professional syllabus. If you have a look at the suggested publications at the link I posted above you'll pick up some ideas.

The review needs to include:

  • a summary of your chosen article (published between January 2010 and March 2012)
  • an evaluation of the concepts and theories
  • how this article has benefited you in practice
  • a recommendation about how the themes of the article might be applied to a business context, and how you might develop these themes further

  • I'm not allowed to give you any more guidance than that though, sorry!
