Both will be qaulifications in Management ACC.. So Cima Adv Dip vs Unisa Honours in Managment Acc.
Which do you guys think is the Better??
Hi all.. I have been very curious about something for a long time. Im from SA, and always wondered if I made the correct decision to apply staight to Cima after I had completed my Bcom Acc degree or wether I should have registered with Unisa.
On completion of the Managerial level, Cima award you an Advanced Diploma.. However through Unisa you would get an HONOURS. Now I would assume both are kind of the same, im not too sure what the NQF ratings for both are, however I constantly feel in SA telling people or employers you have an HONOURS sounds or seems more valuable than and Adv DIPLOMA. Also if you study 1 year honours part time through Unisa and pass and get Honours, they automatically get exempted from ALL operational level and managerial level papers and jump straight into Strategic. NOW what dissapoints me a little is that in my honest opinion CIMA IS DEFINATELY MUCH HARDER THAN UNISA.. Unisa papers are much simpler, they test the text books whereas cima focuses on Practical knowledge and Scenarios. Quite difficult for graduates who don't have much Business Experience..
I would Please like some input guys. Im thinking perhaps CIMA adv diploma will hold more weight in countries where it is more recognised but I just wish my Cima qaulifications gets recognised and reap benefits for my hard work.
THANKS , BYE
