Hi everyone. If you live or work in South Wales or the South West of England (Swindon to Penzance - or, of course, Penzance to Swindon) then do please come along to our first-ever Regional Planning Day on Saturday 5 February at Thornbury, Bristol, and share your views and ideas on how CIMA can help your work and study in 2011.
Last year we had a really positive Open Meeting. This year we want to go a step further, and find some fresh ways to strengthen employability and communication for CIMA people at every level of work or study. We have a new light-touch and locally-focussed committee structure to develop, and, as Chair of the Regional Board, I'm keen for us to build up the old Branch structure and find volunteers in each of our towns and cities who'll help to put on maybe just one event in their own locality. It's far easier to work in the big cities of our region, but Aberystwyth and Zelah are just as much a part of our community as Bristol and Plymouth.
So do please come along with your ideas, bouquets and brickbats. (But do please book - we want to be sure there's enough lunch to go round!)

Looking forward to meeting you all!
