name in the Financial Times !

I ticked the box saying that I didnt mind my name appearing in the Financial times when I passed my exams. I found out I passed my final exam in January 2010 and became qualified in may of this year. Does anyone know when the edition of the FT with everyones names in it is out, or have I missed it ?!

Nov09 exams

Hi,

So if you found out you passed in Jan 10, then you would have been in the Nov09 sitting!

Those results were in the FT on February 18th 2010 !!

Not such great news!

However, I do happen to have a copy of that particular paper, and can see a similar name in it (assuming you are PJ Clifford, London!)! I would be happy to scan the top part of the page, which your name appears if you would like.

How slow am I !! I am indeed PJ Clifford of London, if you could scan that through to me then I would be very grateful, my e mail address is [email address was removed by a moderator on 13/07/10 as posting personal details is a privacy risk and against our community guidelines. FT 5 mins of fame

Hi,

I have just passed the May 10 sitting of T4. Does anyone know when my name will appear in the FT?

I don't recall ticking any boxes saying i don't mind my name being published in the FT. When would I have been asked to do this?

If i don't get copies of the FT with me in it my family will kill me for sure!

Name in FT

Hi Angela,

Would you be having a copy of the FT that contains the list of passouts in March 2010 sitting by any chance..??

Oh....! :(

Sorry people!

Nov 09 sitting was the last sitting that was printed in the FT, I think it was to do with the syllabus changing, and not being able to called yourselves passed finalists any more.

Such a shame as it was the icing on the cake really!

Such a disappointment!

I passed T4 in May and I am also extremely disappointment with CIMA's decision not to print names anymore... :(

clarification

Unsettled Soul,

CIMA have not stopped publishing the names in the FT. The next round of passed students will be published in September (date to be confirmed).

Surely you can still be a passed finalist?

While the syllabus and hence the exmaination has changed, it is still an 'examination - of experience'. Presumably success is tantamont to being a 'passed finalist'.

I see no reason why CIMA doesn't wish to publish, even is it is now those 'of the past six months' - or a 'time period'. Or is CIMA 'to mean'?

Best regards

Cliff Moggs

date

Has a date been set yet for the september publication of names in FT?

Financial Times

Hi

Can anyone tell me exactly which box you have to tick in MYCIMA to ensure that your name appears in the FT, as I can't see anyting obvious?

Thanks

FT

Do you get included in the list in the FT when you've finished the last exam or when you've become a CIMA memeber?  I completed my last exam in March this year but havent yet completed my prof experiance record to become qualified.

FT

Any news on the date yet?  I don't want  to miss it!!

FT DATE

Hi Adrian and other CIMA moderators,

Is it possible for you to please notify students who have passed T4 and will have their names published in the FT in advance by way of email or communication preference (as stated in cima account settings)?

This will allow communication to all those who have passed and will allow advance warning to get a copy of FT (instead of having to follow this thread).

I received an email today from CIMA saying that as I passed T4, I have now got 4 years to submit PER... surely the same communication can be used - it's not a new group that has to be created.

Regards,

Zeenat

FT

Hi

Could anyone tell me whether the FT publication will be for those who passed just the T4 Part B in March/May sitting or those who have passed T4 Part B and the PER?  I had my PER verified by Proposer/Seconder today but passed T4 Part B in March so does this mean my name will be submitted in the FT soon?

Also is someone able to tell me how long it will take for my ACMA status to come through on MYCIMA (providing I pass my PER first time!) since it was verified today?

Thanks in advance

FT

Hi

Today is 04-Sept and we still dont know the exact FT publication date.

I too have the same Q as Joseph,is it just the new members name that will be listed or also of those people who have yet to get their PE assessed be included in FT.

ACMA status

Mr. Joseph; I have qualified T-4 in this May. I had submitted my PER in April 2010. I have been admitted as associate member. But this was not informed to me by CIMA. I myself raised query in response to which CIMA confirmed that my membership applicationhas been approved and that I can use ACMA after my name.

Check whether the same is your case.

FT Prizewinners

I was just wondering, as FT used to publish the exam prizewinners alongside the passed finalists, whether this was still published somewhere for the May 2010 exams, or whether this will be published in this September edition of the FT.

Thanks

FT Response

I've just had the following email from FT:

"We are no longer publishing the CIMA results. We did however publish the ICAEW results last week Thursday - 9th September."

Very nice of her to tell me about the ICAEW results... adding insult to injury!

 :(

FT response

That's annoying!

FT response

What supposed to be an icing on the cake turns sour now... What is the official CIMA's position on it?

I agree with Jennifer, mentioning ICAEW just adds an insult, completely irrelevant!

FT

What a shambles. You could tell it wasn't going to be good by the lack of any knowledge from any CIMA people on here relating to when it would be published.

FT

So still no date set? or has this been abolish altogether?

FT - sorry for the confusion!

Hi Everyone

Please accept our apologies for the confusion!  In my effort to keep you all updated, I had posted the information on CIMAsphere before we had informed the Contact Centre, so that is the reason for the differing replies.  As stated in the thread earlier, we are looking for a new media partner and will update you on progress as we know more.

Kind regards,

Annette
