I've recently submitted my practical experience online. Last week it was approved by my proposer and seconder. Any ideas how long I will have to wait for a decision? I'm very impatient! It shows as being assessed when I look at the online status - but I guess it could stay like this for months?
Also, how will CIMA advise you of the outcome, by post or email?
If anyone has submitted online already, please can you advise how long it all took?

Mine took about 3 weeks from verification by my proposer and seconder but it depends on how many others have applied at the moment and the Christmas period could slow the process down.
I think they usually say 6 weeks and 8 weeks when busy so I was very surprised to hear after 3 weeks. I found out by email and this said I'd receive documentation in the post in 4-6 weeks.

I submitted mine on 25th November. I hope my application is processed as quickly as Mel's, though I suspect the Christmas merriment will soon lend a hand in delaying things.
Would be a nice present, to qualify just before Christmas. On the other hand, if it's deferrred I'll be sinking one or two more sherries than I might have.

Rob good luck with getting yours signed off, mine was approved by my proposer and seconder on 2nd December so mine should (in theory) take a week longer than yours! Hopefully it will be celebrations, rather than commisserations!

Hi All,
I applied online and it took exactly 4 weeks after verified by proposers. If the membership application link dissapears then you know it has been successful The options / grade in mycima also change. This happened for me on Friday, I got an email from cima this morning saying I can now use the letters after my name etc.
Now back to the celebrations! Good luck to you all.

Its great to hear how quickly the applications are getting processed. I submitted mine on 17th November, but having to wait for verification means mine application wont have started to be assessed until 30th, so we are coming up for two weeks, hopefully not much longer to wait on a decision if Mel's results are anything to go by. It would be the best Christmas present this year.

In the end i submitted via the post as the online system kept crashing on me.
I just wanted to advise people who might be waiting that it took around 8 weeks for the application to be approved.
Just logged in and my status is Associate, woop woop! So that's four weeks two days from submission of the application and 2 weeks 6 days from it being verified by my proposer and seconder; rapido!
Might have to break out the fizz tonight (or at least the sparkling Jacob's Creek, since we're in a recession) :p.

Hi All, Got an email today to say that I have been awarded the 50 credits for T4 part A. The memebership Board meets every thursday so fingers crossed I get an email Thurs/Fri regarding associate status. Very Excited but want to wait until I get the verification before celebrating.

I had my application approved on the 30th November so 3 weeks 1 day from approval to Status Change :-)

Hi lisajs,
I sent mine online, its user friendly. However, the verifier and seconder need to be on alert because CIMA sends passwords directly to them to verify the core work experience.
The work experience needs to be detailed and not bullet points.

I wish I had sumbitted online now as the turn around seems to be 2-3 weeks :(
