Hi All

I am based in Dubai so am going to attempt my CIMA online. There seems to be several worthy companies and I want to solicit your collective opinions.

I spoke to three friends who have completed their CIMA's and all three recommended different companies.

- Kaplan

- firstintuition

- BPP

I've looked at all three's demo's, and they all look very good. By show of replys I would really appreciate your feedback. Please bear in mind that I will have no access to classes and am really looking for the company with the best online courses, solid online feedback, and quality hard copy material.

Hi Allan,

When are you going to sit the exams ? I can recommend you INSAF business school as it may be more suitable to you since you'd not have access to any classes. Insaf programme is different that you get a personal tutor with whom you can have one-to-one lessons over the internet. This facility is not available with any other tuition provider you have mentioned and for a self learning student, a person to talk with is a real motivatoion when we are away from colleges and possibly fellow students (my experience). Rather than sending emails to tutors, a real tutor to conduct lessons for you is the best thing, a distance learning student can get. I've been to India but not to Dubai. Insaf charges £14 an hour and am not sure about your budget :( ... but for me based in Derby in the UK, this is the lowest tuition price :) But Insaf live lessons are not recorded to watch (I think this is because a session is done exclusively for you and no further recordings available). Kaplan Live online is costly and lessons are conducted on a group setting (many students attending the online classroom) and it's costly. But their lessons are recorded for you to watch later. Yes. Botha is correct. INSAF school is awesome. It's my personal experience. It's available as per our time convenience as well as every session is made exclusively for each individual student. And the best part is - you get a personal tutor who guide you through the lessons in real time. What's more if you're in a remote area where CIMA classes are hard to locate ? Even London based students also use Insaf school. I live in Preston and a considerable number of fellow students use Insaf school. Meanwhile my sincere advice is, if you didn't do your home work well, no Insaf school could help you pass CIMA. CIMA is more of applying knowledge in a practical context. I've made mistakes in CIMA exams :-(
