Study Options

Hello,

I'm re-registering to CIMA for next year - I currently have the equivalent of the Diploma in Management Accounting from study a couple of years ago.

I'm not really keen at all to go back to regular day release study at a college in Birmingham. Though I would definitely do a revision course at college (as they provided most useful in the passed).

I was considering cimastudy.com but I've not found one reasonable review of it yet so I''m wondering what options do I have other than having the tution at a college/training centre?

Previously I had fully paid support, day release etc but I don't really want trips into centre of Birmingham once/twice a week (currently reside in Burntwood, Staffordshire) to go to a college.

 Thanks

 Lee

Distance learning

Hi Lee

A lot of tuition providers now offer distance learning options, both hard copy and online. If you enter 'uk' 'distance learning' and 'quality partner' into our course finder you will see quite a few options.

Distance learning works well if you have the discipline to study alone, but like you I found revision classes really helpful, particularly for developing exam technique. Many colleges offer weekend classes, which you might find easier to get to.

I'd also suggest joining our Management level study group here: http://community.cimaglobal.com/groups/content/management-level-study-group - and we also have a West Midlands group here: http://community.cimaglobal.com/groups/content/west-midlands-region

Good luck with your studies!
