Hello,
Just wondering about certificates. I passed 5 managerial papers under the old syllabus and the 6th one under the new (management level). In cases like this will students received a ceritificate for the operational level and management level or just the management level?
Cheers
Ian
Hello Ian, i'm in eactly the same boat - i have passed F2 55% (phew!) but passed all my other papers under the old syllabus and I'm after confirmation that I will indeed get sent a certificate for the advanced Diploma (i need it for work) and how long it will take to get here. I'm sure there are many of us in a similar position.....
cheers...chrisw
Thanks Lisa and Chris,
Congratulations on your results. I would have thought we'd get both certificates now, because just one certificate might indicate we only did 3 papers, when in fact we did 6 - just some of them under the old syllabus.
I will wait and see though.
Ian
Hopefully some nice Cima person will look in to it for us :-)
Hello all,
Congratulations on completing the Operational/Management level papers.
I can confirm that you will be sent the Advanced Diploma in Management Accounting.
The Certificate will be processed and issued to you in six weeks.
To be eligible for the Diploma, you needed to have sat at least one Operational level exam under the current syllabus, as this Certificate was not applicable under the prior CIMA syllabi.
I hope this helps

Hi Beth,
Thank you for your message and confirming this.
Ian
Hello all and congrats to everyone completing levels. Was just wondering if anyone can confirm for me - I passed F1 from the Operational level, and all three Managerial papers in the May 2010 sitting - will I get both the Diploma and the Advanced Diploma?!
Seems logical that would be the case, and I think I remember reading that would be the case, but can't seem to find confirmation now!!
Cheers,
Matt
HI Beth,
I completed managerial in May, having passed papers P2 & F2. The other papers were sat under the 2005 syllabus. Will I get a diploma for completeing the managerial level now??
Kind regards
James
Hi Matthew and James
Congratulations on your recent exam successes.
You will receive your Advanced Diploma certificates within the next six weeks. Matthew, you should receive your Diploma certificate at the same time - if this does not arrive please contact me directly.
Best wishes

Hi Rebecca,
Thank you for your reply.
Kind regards

To Beth,
Just noticed the response on here - Beth thanks for your update and you say that to get the advanced diploma you must have passed atleast one of the operational level exams on the current syllabus but I have passed only a managerial level exam (F2) and all the other exams on the older syllabus. Does this mean that I won't get a advanced diploma certificate?
thanks
chrisw
Hi Rebecca,
Thanks for the reply,
Matt
I have passed the three managerial level paper's and was exempt for the operational ones.
What Certificate if any should I receive?
Hi Christopher and Craig,
I am sorry if this was not clear before, there are two Certificates now, in what was the Managerial level.
1. The Diploma in Management Accounting, which is awarded for the completion of the Operational level under the current syllabus.
2. Advanced Diploma in Management Accounting:
Anyone that completes the both the Operational and Management levels will receive the Advanced Diploma, as this was applicable under the 2005 syllabus, the rule I am referring to is for receiving the Diploma in Management Accounting.
I hope this makes it clearer.
Kind Regards
Beth

I haven't. Emailed CIMA on Friday to ask if they have been sent out. Have not yet received a reply.
Has anyone received their certificate??
I know of some people who receivced their Diploma in Advanced Management Accounting yesterday but hopefully my diploma will arrive today (Fingers crossed))....
James
My Advanced Diploma in Management Accounting certificate arrived in the post yesterday.
On to Strategics in November!
Hi,
I received my Advanced Diploma but not the operational level Diploma - is this down to sending out at different times or do I need to chase somebody about it?
Thanks,
Matt
Hi Matthew
I will contact you directly.

I also only received my advanced diploma but not the operational level one, i passed F1 under the new syllabus, so should i get the operationl level certificate as well?
Thanks
If you've got the Advanced Diploma, does it really matter if you've not got the Diploma? In my experience employers only ask what level of study you're at and might ask for proof of the highest level, not anything lower, so if you're sitting Strategic you could show the Advanced Diploma but there would be no need to show the 'normal' Diploma. The Diploma would only be needed if you still have some of the Managerial level to sit as proof that you've finished Operational level.
And a year after you've got the Advanced Diploma you'll have finished the exams and PER and will be a member, which means no one will ever ask for the interim certificates/diplomas again.
In my experience I have always received the certificates I have earned, because that's what is supposed to happen.
Obviously I don't need it for career progression reasons, and I would probably have alarm bells ringing if a failure to show an interim qualification became a sticking point in such a situation!!
It doesn't "really" matter if I don't have the diploma. It would just be nice to get something tangible back for all the hard work and money that goes into studying CIMA.
Matthew,
I see your point that if you've earned it, then you deserve the certificate (and well done on taking 4 exams in one go, I can't imagine how hard that was!), but I stand by my point that you are now at a higher level, so having the certificate you earned by taking 1 exam at Operational level (assuming you took the other 2 under the old syllabus or got exemptions) then getting the diploma at the same time as the advanced diploma seems a little pointless as it's superceded at the time of it's arrival.
It's been + six weeks since the results were released and I still haven't received my certificate (Diploma in Management Accounting). I passed all my operational level exams in the May diet.
Could the delay be due to my staying outside the UK?
(I'm in South Africa)
Hello Binzo,
It`s is highly likely that your Certificate is still in transit, if you can email cima.contact@cimaglobal.com then they can have a look at your account and confirm when it was sent, so you will know when to expect it.
I hope this helps
Kind Regards
Beth
