E1 Questioning

Hi,

I sat E1 in May11 and failed, knew I would but gave it a go anyway. I am re-sitting in Nov and just concentrating on this one exam. The reason for this, I am really struggling to understand what CIMA is asking for. When I then read the answer, I kick myself because if they had asked it differently I could have written a whole essay. I know CIMA say look at the verbs, which I do, evaulate means to sum up etc. But I read the question over and over and I still don't get what they are after.

I am currently doing CIMA online and find the course very usual, and better than the college I attended last year. But the questions are throwing me.

Can anyone help, or suggest anything which may help?

 Many thanks.

Post Exam Guides

Dear Melanie,

I think studying the Post Exam Guides (PEGs) will help.  You can find all the PEG up to May 2011 online at here.  Unlike the examier's answers, the PEG highlights the rationale behind the question and the examiner's answer plan.  It should help you to get familiarised with the exmainer's ways of thinking.  You may want to try the answer planning yourself first, and then compare with the examiner's plan.

Please be reminded that you will need to login to MY CIMA first for accessing the PEG.

Best regards and Good luck!

Many thanks, I've now printed them off and I meant CIMA online as being very useful, not usual!

PEGS

Hi Sam,

When the PEGs of the Nov sitting be available hmmm?

PEGS

Hi Mohammed,

The PEG usually comes out 1 months after the result, so I guess it will be around the end of Feb 2012.
