Revision / QBD Classes

Hi,

I'm just looking at booking my first courses on the Professional Levels, and was wondering whether anyone had any advice on whether going to the Revision sessions and/or QBD sessions with Kaplan or BPP were very worthwhile or whether by only going to one of the 2 was detrimental to preparing for the exams? I guess part of the issue will be whether I can get work to cover the cost of either of them, but would be useful to know whether either of the sessions made a massive difference or not?

 Thanks

Yep

If you're able to, I would highly reccommend doing the revision and QBD days. Revision is where i really took in the course and learnt the techniques i would need for the exam to get me through. The QBD was excellent for exam practice and getting feedback from markers on how to improve what I was doing - it also highlighted the areas that i was weakest. Unfortunately these were still the areas I was weakest in the actual exams so next time i'll be focusing more on those areas.

If you're only able to attend one of the two it really depends on whether you're good at self study or not but I would suggest doing the revision over the QBD as they really help you understand how to 'pick up the easy marks' in each exam. Then all you would be losing would be feedback on exam question practice.

Revision & QBD

Hi Andrew,

I second Coigach. Always good at least to have revision lessons, if you can not make it revision + qbd. I'd personally feel, the most productive lessons I had were with insaf business college. They offer tailor-made revision classes. Very knowledgable and friednly tutors. One to one tuition. They'll adjust timings as per our convenience. Also the best part is - just £14 an hour. Well worth the money. I failed F1 with iCount and then passed with insaf business college. Then have studied with them till strategic with only one failure at P3. Also you can use some past papers along with answers from Acorn website. It's also a nice 'free' stuff which can be used for revision.
