Hi Gooner,
I definitely dont expect myself to have read the study texts fully by exam time and I am almost positive that CIMA doesnt expect you to either in order to pass the exams. I think key is plenty of question practice and the condensed notes provided by your tutors should be sufficient. I would only recommend using the study texts if you are not understanding the topic in the condensed class notes as it can be a real time waster.
Hi
I am currently doing my operational level and I am uncertain of which chapters we have to study for the May exams.
Can anyone please help me?
Hi everyone,
I agree with Jamie and Simon that we can pass without reading through the whole textbooks. I am on Operational exams, and so far I havent finished P1 reading and not even touched E1 yet, will start do questions and papers from tomorrow. I might am not having good schedule, but surely Practising are much more practical and useful than just reading. the thing is even when you finish all of reading, you could stuck in papers coz you might not understand the theories, while practising will fill the gap, it will help you understand txtbooks, save time and grasp the key points. So if you only wanna pass the exam, do practise!
Good luck everyone!
Hello guys...
Please help me. I just joined the group after realising I have not much time left. I'm taking E1 and P1 this May, I studied last year for both but due to health reasons I didn't write. When I saw the syllabus change I never figured it would be daunting this much to manuevre from 205 t0 210 syllabus. Each specimen paper I take...is different, worst for me P1 is now including some of P2 (old syllabus) work i.e projects and some.
I only have 2009 BPP study material and thinking its late to buy new text and have no idea where to get the reading material accomodating the new syllabus. I'm hoping someone can help with the reading material additional to new syllabus (E1 and P1). Can either email to me please or any possible way. If South African in Gauteng I can come and collect for copies (can even pay for it)...
Desperate...with last years syllabus, I was sure to make it, now am not....advice/help...
Hi everyone,

Hi Thembile,
Not sure really what to suggest... You can purchase all the necessary materials (study texts, Revision kits, I-pass CDs) on Amazon in UK.
I know they send items to Spain - I live in Spain and recieve stuff here. But not everything is send abroad, so you just have to try one by on the sellers.
I am studying F1 at the moment, and we all agreed that Kaplan book is much better than BPP. But I still have a BPP revison kit, which is fine and gives all the answers, but not too many explanations.
Tell me how can we help you - if we send you the books, will you have time to do it by May? Or you want to go to November exams?
Good luck
Daria
