I've now been studying for 2 and a half years and getting through the earlier exams to reach Strategic.
However, since Christmas no matter how much I read I just can't take anything in. It's like my brain has said "I've had enough....can't take in any more information!".
Has anyone else experiecnced this? If so, any ideas what I can do to overcome this
Hi - I think Jason might be right. Give yourself a couple of days off.
I took the day off yesterday with the intention of cracking on with my revision for E2 retake. I can't go any further until I pass this. I did anything except revising - watched Homes under the Hammer, had a little sleep, went to buy wellies for my son etc. It wasn't until about 2pm that I could find any motivation to study. By that time I had only an hour or so until I had to pick my son up from school but I just needed some time to myself to do nothing.
Give yourself a break (short one) and then you might be refreshed and ready to start again. It's really easy to spend a lot of time staring at books but not being productive. Far better to have some time off and then spend lesser time but more productive time studying.
That's my theory anyway! Good luck
Thanks for your comments, both.
That sounds like a plan! I have been trying to fit a lot of study in lately and although I sleep fairly well at night it's a struggle between work, spending time with my 5 year old and catching up with housework on weekends.
I've got progress tests in uni over the next 3 weeks for each strategic subject, so I'll have to plough on for now, but I think I'll take a full week off studying after that to try and refresh myself so that I'm not burnt out for May!
