Hi Jenny
You will have to take very careful note of the syllabus weightings, exam format and formulae tables, which have all changed, although the syllabus itself is very similar. This transition guide highlights the differences between P9 and F3: http://www.cimaglobal.com/Documents/ImportedDocuments/F3aug09guide.pdf
The examiner has also written an article on the differences between the old and new papers: http://www.cimaglobal.com/Documents/Student%20docs/Studyresources/F3Jun.pdf
You should also read the F3 syllabus, whuch can be found here:
http://www.cimaglobal.com/Documents/ImportedDocuments/F3FinancialStrategy.pdf
The formula tables have also changed and can be found here:
http://www.cimaglobal.com/Documents/Student%20docs/2010Exams/F3%20MATHS%20TABLES%20AND%20FORMULAE.pdf
As you can see there is a lot to take in. If you still wish to use your existing book I would advise you to also use a revision textbook or mock exam papers designed for the new syllabus to ensure that your practice questions have the correct mark weighting.
Best wishes
