Strategic level first attempt

Happy New Year all - I have a question regarding tackling strategic level papers. I am sitting all 3 strategic level papers for the first time in May 2012. I have already studied all of the theory in E3 after passing my resit in Sept 2011. I am attending the classes for P3 and F3 and I am wondering if I would be OK with just reviving the case study aspect for E3 closer to the time as I have put a lot of effort into coving the theory already. So basically focus on F3 and P3 until closer to the exam?

Any advice from those who have sat the strategic level papers would be really helpful.

Preparation

Dear WP,

It seems that you have made a good start.  The pre-seen case for the May 2012 exam will be released 6 weeks before the examination.  You can download from here.  Meanwhile, you may want to try to do some past questions.  All past exam questions can be found in MY CIMA under "Student information".  You should try to do them under exam condition, i.e. spending 1.8 mins per mark.  This will help you to practice your Time Management.

This table summarises past E3 exam questions by learning outcomes and it is useful when you want to focus on certain topics.  I think it is ok to focus on P3 and F3 now, but just keep doing E3 once in a while, so that you won't forget it.

Good luck and Best regards,

Sam

E3

Hi
Yes I am going focus on F3 and E3  for now buts it's good suggestion to look at E3 every so often before the case study.

Thanks for the response.
