T4 CBA for Independant Learners?

I am an independant learner, i.e. I am not enrolled with any course provider, and want to sit the November T4 Case Study exam on a PC. I have been told that none of CIMA's Open Centres will be offering the PC exam in November, so I have contacted Kaplan and BPP. BPP will not allow me to sit the exam at their centres as I am not one of their students. Kaplan will allow me to sit it there, but they give priority to their own students and so cannot guarantee me a place until they have collected in entries from their students, which begins week commencing 13th September. Since the entry for the paper based examinations ends on 14th September, waiting for Kaplan might be cutting it a bit fine... Does anyone know of any other way I could sit the PC exam?

Open Centres

Hi Caroline,

I have attached a link to the document below, if the status states "open centre" "yes" then that means that you can sit exams in that centre without having to do a course.

I do hope that this helps.

Kind Regards

Re: Open Centres

Yetunde I realise this, however I have been informed that none of the open centres will be offering the CBA in November.

T4 on PC

Hi Caroline

You may have better luck with one of the smaller colleges - some of them have offered exam-only options in the past.

Best wishes
