How does one get their first accounting job?

I work for  financial services sector in a middle office role and want to move into Management Accounting. 

I am almost done with my Managerial level (1 paper left) and I haven't got any management accounting experience yet:( I have tried to apply for loads of jobs via most of the famous websites, but all of them want someone with relevant experience and I have none. The most I get is an interview call from the recruitment firm and they never get any further when they find out I don't have any relevant experience.

I was exempt from the certificate level and have passed the Managerial level papers the first time I sat for them. Now I am not sure if I should continue sitting for exams before I get a job in management accounting or a  similar accounting role as employers seem to value experience more.
