Paragraph Formatting (or rather lack of)

Can someone advise me what causes a lack of pragraph formatting on this website. It's very annoying. I used to post on here previously using an IE browser and parapraphs's were formatted as intended. I now use Google Chrome and it all gets clumped to gether. I have tried reverting back to IE and I still have the same problem so it doesn't seem to be browser related. I have also tried pasting from word and the same problems occur. Please advise what the solution is.

Paragraph formatting using Chrome

Hello there,

I'm currently logged in on the Chrome browser, to see if the same thing happens to me. I'll update / investigate further after publishing. Normally I use Firefox and I've never had a problem.

I'll check the situation with Explorer 7 after this. We no longer support minor bug fixes for Explorer 6.

Thanks,

Paragraph formatting using Internet Explorer 7

Okay, Chrome worked without any problem, all the paragrpah formatting came through fine. I'm now logged in on IE7 to see how that goes...

B - are you on IE7 or IE8?

Testing Firefox.....

I'm on IE 9 (Beta) when used but predominantly I'm using Chrome now.....

(This should be a line break)

Typing this on Firefox so will see if any different...

(This should be a line break)

And the result is......

Testing IE9

Firefox seem to work fine .........

(Line Break)

And when testing IE9 we shall see....

(Line Break)

(Line Break)

Whether it works or not....

Bizarre...

So now IE9 appears to work fine..... must be just Chrome?

TinyMCE and Chrome - intermittent problem noted

Thanks for that. Good to know it's okay in IE9. Strange about Chrome.

The text editor we have installed is called TinyMCE. I've looked through some technical forums and there are intermittently problems reported with TinyMCE and line breaks in Chrome and Safari.

For example:

http://stackoverflow.com/questions/3013708/tinymce-line-break-problem-on-safari-and-chrome

However, I will need to log this with our external developers for them to test and assess. We could add it to the fix-list for the next version of the site, although that is some time away from being started on.

I do see other people commenting on the same problem intermittently on CIMAsphere, so we are aware there is an issue, but it doesn't seem to occur consistently.
