Those that know me know that I like to tread the boards with a local amateur dramatic society.  Nothing too serious - pantomimes, murder mysteries and farces are the order of the day - a far cry from the more serious stuff you see on some of the West End stages in London.  Nevertheless, we have quite a strong following and everyone seems to have a great time.  I have been persuaded to provide a link to Purley Players (check out my Lion in The Wizard of Oz) although I'm not expecting any phone calls!

    Hi all

I'm interested in applying for a role within performance improvement consulting in the near future, in particular with one of the big 4. If anyone could give me greater insight into what the role involves, other than what i've already taken from the websites i'd love to hear from you. Would especially like to hear from anyone with experience in this area. I guess i'm just trying to understand if the role really is what i'm after, and whether it will still benefit my long term career goals?

The other day I was chatting to a mate of mine who works as a ship doctor on a mega luxury cruise liner. He pointed out many interesting observations from his unusual work environ, one of which peaked my interest.

Not surprisingly these cruises are frequented by the fabulously wealthy retirees and captains of industry, neither of which are much fodder for my keyboard, but he pointed out a category which I wouldn’t have thought of; people who were loaded, not from a large capital base , but rather who received their monthly fix from family trust accounts.
