Hi all,

I'm all set to take Strategic in May, fingers crossed, if manage to pass all the managerial level in January results.

 

I wanted to get ahead of the game however and so wanted to start reading up on the topics involved or studying some of the syllabi. I'll be attending classes in February so will get textbooks etc then therefore I'm not really wanting to buy any at the moment (but would consider any offers...) so was looking to find any free resources that may be available online.

This is my first post. I am back studying after about ten years out and am really kinda worried about how the information has not yet sunk in.

I am focussing on E1 at the moment and just wanted some advice. I use BPP study text but am doing home study. I have read and made notes from the study text, used the passcards and actually felt pretty good about it all until this morning when i attempted two questions from the practice and revision kit. My answers were completely different from the model answers!

 

I am a strong Six Sigma advocate and I truly believe in the model's strength. However on the same note, I have been noticing a trend by Six Sigma training providers referring to the cost of 3 Sigma levels vs acheiving true six sigma (99.99%) nirvana..

Hi, I was wondering if anyone is studying CIMA strategic level in Switzerland and interested in an informal study group / sharing experiences?  I am *attempting* strategic level by distance learning / home study and aiming to take the exams in May 2010.

A lot of time, money and effort goes into planning and facilitating local events and whilst some are better attended, some are not.  The events are held regularly, with a variety of topics and are aimed at various groups of people including students, members and anyone else that has an interest. 

I have a few questions for you and would be interested in any feedback that people have.  My questions are;

1. Have you attended any local events?  If you have what have you enjoyed or disliked about them?

I am thinking about preparing P8 through distance learning.

Could you please give advice on the best book/ books available for it
