In Rebecca’s recent blog she highlighted how some candidates seem ethically challenged.
I'm in the process of finalising my application for membership and just have a question on the fee.
The fee on the application form states £129, but it also states the following:
Please note, if you are awarded membership before 1 September, you will be liable to pay the balance of the ACMA subscription for the whole year.
What is the additional cost?
Hi,
I submitted my membership application last March & since then I didnt get any confirmation from CIMA. Last week I dropped an email requesting for any update on my application & today they have responded saying my application has being deferred. There was no perticular reason mentioned & I am in a confused state at the moment on what my next step should be.
How do i find out the reason for my application to be deferred & do i need to resubmit it?
It will be a great help is someone can guide me on this.
Regards,
Hi there,
Does anyone konw how long does it take for CIMA to send out certificates for new members who completed both parts of T4?
Thanks
MS
I joined CIMA as a student in 1973; qualified ACMA in 1978, Fellow 1983. Now 60, still working. The qualification certainly helped my early career, up to about age 35 to 40, but as my work has taken me away from accountancy into new areas, as happens to many CIMA members, I find it harder every year to justify paying the ever-increasing annual subscription. Like any business person I look for value for money. What do I get for my £234:
Should I resign from CIMA by 31/12/2010?
(NB There is a separate discussion elsewhere on the annual increase in fees).
I'm self employed (so I pay the fees myself), I have a young son and I'm in my early 30s.
How can I justify paying #233+ every year from now to retirement when I could invest the money for my boy instead?
This September we're offering CIMA members the chance to blog on CIMAsphere, whether that's a one-off contribution or the beginning of something more regular!
I found out I passed TOPCIMA today, which is obviously great so I want to get my membership application off ASAP (my practical experience has already been signed off).
The online user guide says there should be a link on the left hand side of mycima, but I can't find it! Also, my exam results history is not showing anything to do with the professional qualification at all - only certificate BA?!
I also can't find the forms to do it by post (would prefer to do online anyway though)
Hi all
I have viewed a document at http://www2.cimaglobal.com/cps/rde/xbcr/SID-0A82C289-308D5433/live/Online_application_user_guide_-_Passed_finalists_v2.pdf suggesting that it is possible to go through the membership application online, allowing you to save progress then return and complete as and when.
