I have got the official CIMA study texts for 2009 for papers P3, P6, & P9 which I know arent exactly the same as the new paper names but may be of some use to somebody...I will sell them at £10 each plus the cost of postage etc
Hi Can anyone please help me with this question
I was looking at the answer for Question 2 in May 2009 P9, and i am a bit confused as to how the answer was arrived at for the actual return to the shareholders
This was the equation
( Share price for latest year - share price for previous year + Dt ( i assume this is Debt x Corp Tax rate) / share price for previous year
Strategic Results rec'd by email, P9 went much better than expected, especially if you work in the amount I had to leave out due to time constraints. I did questions 2 and 5 as I think most people who commented after the exams did, so I guess the paper was easier than what I thought. After reading the comments I was sure I didnt make it.
I am trying to get hold of audio cds for strategic level, does anyone have them for sale?
Hi all,
I'm using the Study System P9 for financial strategy paper. For chapter 7 Question 2 of Revised Questions, I see the investment 1's note as:
"Total profit before taxt = 386,000. This amounts to 110% of average assets of 350,000, an average of 22% per annum."
However, I can not figure out how to derive the value 386,000 and 350,000. Do any of you have any idea?
Thanks,
Nelson
I don't see anything about the P9 May results out there and I'm wondering if that meant that everyone's results were in line with their expectations. Mine was considerably lower than I was expecting, I received 60's for P3 and P6, with a 37 for P9. I did run into time issues and was expecting more, but 37! I clearly missed the ball and don't have the opportunity to attend classes etc (living in Tortola, BVI), thus I am open to any ideas as to where I can get to grips with this one and retrace my steps, trying to find my way back to solid results.
Thanks guys.
