Hi All
Does anyone have the Study texts for E3, P3 and F3 for sale?
I'm taking the exams together in May..
Cheers
E1 traditionally has one of the best pass rate among all CIMA papers. In the November 2011 exam, the UK pass rate is 67% (highest) and the global pass rate is 56% (2nd equal). However for those who come from a typical accounting background, this paper may not be your favourite as there is no calculation involved. Now with just over a month to go until the resits in late Feb, what should you do to prepare yourself?
With the November 2011 behind us, you may be considering if you should sit for the T4 Part B exam in either late Feb or late May 2012. Well, the preseen case for these exams has been released today and you can download it here.
Hi
Has anyone any advice on best approach for strategic level papers? I have done all home study for opreational and managerial so far relying on CIMA study text - is it still possible to continue this for strategic level? I have only done max two papers at anyone sitting so far so would three be a huge step up relying solely on home study?
Any tips, advice etc would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
James
Hello All,
Just thought that I will start a new thread to get all ppl appearing for CMGA May 2012 Exam together. So we can network and ask questions.
Please feel free to use this thread to introduce yourself.
Cheers,
Mustan
Do yourself the best Christmas present and become your own friend! Sounds crazy? Well... if you only think for a while and actually listen to your inner voice... you will be surprised! We all have this inner dialog in our head. Like a safety barrier which helps us judge our decisions and actions. Unfortunately, most of us have it tuned too harsh and so we see ourselves as a failure. We are a prosecutor, a judge and an executioner in the same time… and we have no mercy! Very often we see a disaster and we tend to underestimate ourselves… we simply do not believe in our possibilities.
So, how is revision going for you? I am just about to finish my 2 week long revision course for strat. Most of it seems to make sense but we will see how long that lasts when the exam starts!
As usual I am most concerned about the enterprise strategy exam. This pillar has not been my favourite throughout my studies and I never really know whether I am answering the right question or not!
Hi there,
I would like to start studying asap and I am looking to get hold of books for E1, F1 and P1.
Can anybody help me?
Thanks
Stacey
Hi
I am currently taking the 3 Strategic Papers in Nov 11 (first sitting) and am finding that I can understand and learn from doing questions for the F3 paper but when it comes to the E3 and P3 papers I'm struggling to answer questions from the BPP Revision Kits.
I've tried re-reading the notes, doing questions from the kits but I have no idea what they are asking me to do, I've looked at questions in the Kits and then the answers, reading the Study Text on the areas brought up in the questions as well as looking at the Passcards.
It is a big help if we have a choice of school, distance and home studying. Being able to attend to classes might be very beneficial for many of us. I have experience in both home and school studying and I would say that both are valuable.
By putting myself in different situations I learnt not only from my books but also about myself. I am able to identify my strengths and weaknesses and work with them. But what should I do when, after careful selection of school and considerable amount of private funds spent, I meet my disappointment in the figure of the teacher?
As the title suggests I am just about to go on holiday!
As I write this blog I am sitting in my hotel room at Heathrow's terminal 5 and in the morning I get on a flight to Miami for two weeks in the sun! I am off to Disneyworld for a week followed by 5 days in South Carolina.
The expected highlight of the trip, for me at least, will be breakfast with Mickey Mouse!
Is there anyone from Baku studying CIMA?
We could share ideas.
Thanks
Hi,
I'm just looking at booking my first courses on the Professional Levels, and was wondering whether anyone had any advice on whether going to the Revision sessions and/or QBD sessions with Kaplan or BPP were very worthwhile or whether by only going to one of the 2 was detrimental to preparing for the exams? I guess part of the issue will be whether I can get work to cover the cost of either of them, but would be useful to know whether either of the sessions made a massive difference or not?
Thanks

It has again been a while since my last blog - a few days before the exams if I remember correctly!
It has been a long seven weeks as I wondered whether I had passed E2 and F2 whilst also getting started on Strategic level lectures!
So, how did we all do? I walked out of both exams wondering how I would do. I struggled with the foreign ops question in F2 and as I have mentioned often I really didn't like E2!
Hello
I failed P3 for the second time, I am looking for some one-to-one tuition on this subject in the Cambridge/Peterborough area. Does anyone know of any tuition providers?
Regards
